Daily demos of the H180FE machine, producing recyclable stand-up pouches that were collaborated with Mondi, will be held at Mespack’s booth

New sustainable packaging co-creations will be exhibited in Mespack’s well-known partnership area
Mespack, is pleased to announce that it will once again participate in Pack Expo International; the fair will be held from October 23rd to 26th at the McCormick Place venue in Chicago, Illinois (USA). At this edition of the event, the company will strengthen its role as a leading company in the flexible packaging machinery sector, due to its commitment and hard work to develop smart technology.
Mespack has the largest product portfolio of the industry, offering horizontal (roll-stock, pre-made and hybrid) and vertical equipment to produce sachets, stick packs, stand-up pouches, water soluble pods, various film-based packaging, and end-of-line solutions with premium services worldwide.
After a year of a successful integration between Mespack and Mespack-Cloud brands, in which product portfolios, philosophies, strategies, and corporate images have been unified, the company will present itself as a unique and strong global brand this year. Mespack’s porfolio includes ultra-high speed machinery and water soluble pods equipment that originate from the renowned American company, Cloud.
Mespack will be located at Booth S-3646, within the Duravant area. In addition to presenting its latest innovations in flexible packaging equipment, the company will have two machines on display: the new Hydroforma 660 DS and the H180FE.
The H180FE horizontal form-fill-seal machine is a versatile and compact solution that has 4 four dosing stations and allows for multiple pouch formats. It is ideal for medium size flat and stand-up pouches for frozen foods, sauces, beverages, snacks, confectionaries, and more. At the Pack Expo International event, the H180FE will be adapted to operate with sustainable materials. It will perform daily live demonstrations of a new paper stand-up pouch designed together with Mondi, one of Mespack’s star partners.
Furthermore, Mespack will also seize the opportunity, afforded by the event, to physically introduce the market to the new Hydroforma 660 DS machine. This new model has significant improvements over its predecessor, the Hydroforma 600.
The new Hydroforma 660 DS is a high-speed solution that produces water soluble pods. As a result of its double-shot, the machine is capable of producing up to 1,400ppm (liquids) and 2,400ppm (powders). The Hydroforma 660 DS also features a quick changeover time of less than 90 minutes, and a reduces footprint. It is the perfect solution to produce more in a short period of time and with less waste.
Moreover, at Pack Expo International, Mespack is excited to present a recent and successful customized turnkey project: the launch of a complete packaging line that consists of a horizontal machine and three American box end-of-line equipment. As a result, Mespack reinforces its role as a trustworthy one-stop-shop partner with the largest portfolio, hence minimizing risks and evolving together with customers and partners.
The company will also present the improvements and developments to its well-known Mespack Athena digital platform, which not only strives to enable customers maximize the value of their production data, but performs tasks from machine control to data analytics as well. Since its launch, Mespack Athena has proven to be a key tool for raising the efficiency of Mespack’s machinery; clients are able to achieve their business goals while maintaining complete control and obtaining the most from the data generated throughout their manufacturing process.
Once again, Mespack will feature its legendary partnership corner, “Wall of Fame”. This corner will showcase the most recent recyclable-ready packaging co-creations and projects with its strategic partners in the sector: Amcor, BBC Cellpack, Dow, Hoffer, Menshen, Mondi, ProAmpac and Uflex. Additionally, this exhibition will be a discussion point for solutions focused on sustainability and the manner by which Mespack and these partnerships can support companies in making the shift towards more recyclable packaging.
In collaboration with Amcor and Menshen, Mespack has used its equipment to develop a new high-quality green spouted packaging produced with Amcor’s AmPrima® PE Plus film and Menshen’s spout, which both have a mono-polyethylene foundation. The evolution of this packaging is based on drop resistance improvement. Subsequently, this pouch is capable of holding 1L of liquid.
Conjointly with Mondi, Mespack has developed a new sustainable stand-up pouch of exceptional quality. This pouch is constructed with Mondi’s Functional Barrier Paper 95/5 and printed with Comexi‘s D4 digital press. Visitors will be able to view the production live at its booth with the H180FE machine.
Recently, with its partners BBC Cellpack, Dow, Hoffer and Uflex, Mespack has launched, to the market, additional sustainable packaging solutions, particularly recyclable spouted stand-up pouches, which will be on display in the sustainability corner.
Furthermore, as part of its collaboration with ProAmpac, an H180FE machine was installed at the ProAmpac Collaboration & Innovation Center in Rochester, NY (USA) to test materials, applications, and technologies together with customers. For the same purpose, the Dow Pack Studios innovation center is also equipped with an H180FE machine.
New this year, Mespack is pleased to announce a special gift: the “Golden Ticket“. Visitors to its booth will receive an invitation to visit one of the Mespack, Dow or ProAmpac innovation centers to learn about their sustainable developments, receive advice and trainings, test recyclable materials and applications, view demonstrations of machinery on display, meet strategic industry partners, among other objectives.
At Mespack’s booth, there will also be a corner to display the company’s retrofits and upgrades. It will emphasize the integration of sustainable materials in the flexible packaging equipment, offering retrofits and upgrades to its installed machines, thus enabling them to function with recyclable, recycled or biodegradable laminates.
