Once more, the Plastic Pouches event will be held in Barcelona, and Mespack, as a key industry stakeholder, is pleased to be a repeat sponsor. Organized by AMI, an organization with over 30 years of experience in the plastics industry, the event will take place on March 21st and 22nd at the World Trade Centre.
Under the slogan, ‘connecting the industry to explore innovation in pouch design, materials, production, and applications’, AMI’s Plastic Pouches event not only provides a unique forum for the international plastic pouch industry to debate current technical and market developments and trends, but also offers ample networking opportunities.
The event agenda addresses the growing focus on the 2025 sustainable packaging pledge: the manner by which consumer demands are changing the face of packaging development and what the response needed by the industry in order to remain at the forefront of innovation.
Similar to the previous edition, the event includes a guided tour of Mespack’s headquarters in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, where visitors will be able to enjoy interesting workshops prepared together with partners and customers of the sector. The off-site manufacturing experience to discover the latest packaging advancements and live demonstrations, will take place on the first day of the event: the afternoon of March 21st from 15h to 19.30h.
By attending this guided site, visitors will experience an innovative packaging showcase of recyclables, smart machines, and IoT solutions. Furthermore, a live practical demonstration will allow attendees to discover the most recent novelties that have been developed for the packaging industry.
On site, attendees will not only be able to view Mespack’s production and integration of various innovations, but also learn about new equipment processes and recyclable films that are currently available for manufacturing producing a greener packaging. Moreover, during the visit, guests will have the opportunity to meet key partners and customers of the flexible packaging industry, who are collaborating with Mespack in theses commented workshops developing new and disruptive innovations. Live demos of Mespack equipment, along with the new concept of smart machines, which includes IoT, automations, and recyclable structures adaptability, will be the essence of the event.
Additionally, on the second day of the event, March 22nd, our Managing Director Guillem Clofent, will give a speech regarding sustainability and recycling technologies. The event will also feature speeches from other industry leading speakers, such as BBC Cellpack and Dow. Furthermore, the agenda places emphasis on other topics, including material innovations, sustainable sealing and coatings, as well as developments in pouch recycling.
Plastic Pouches is the meeting place for leaders and professionals from across the global supply chain. The event is an opportunity to discuss new technical developments and real business insight with those involved in pouch packaging innovations. Moreover, it allows for the exploration of this developing sector’s potential.
