4-Side Seal Sachet Packaging Machines

Multilane VFFS technology for portion-controlled sachets

Multilane Sachet Machines for Powders, Liquids and Pastes

Mespack designs and manufactures multilane vertical form fill and seal (VFFS) machines for 4-side seal sachets. The ML and MLC Series combine flexible dosing, reliable sealing, precise film control and advanced automation for powders, granules, liquids and pasty products, from versatile portion-controlled sachets to high-speed continuous production of up to 2,100 sachets per minute.

Sachet Formats

Four-side seal sachets are flat packs sealed on all four edges, used for single-use portions, samples and travel sizes. Their wide front and back surfaces leave space for branding, instructions and coding. Mespack ML and MLC machines produce the five formats below, with dosing, coding, cutting, inspection and grouping options configured for each product and production line.

Zig-zag cut

Serrated edge that makes opening easy while keeping production efficient.

Straight cut

Clean, uniform finish for a precise pack appearance.

Tear notch

Integrated notch for convenient access to the product.

Rounded corners

Differentiated look and more comfortable handling.

String sachets

Connected sachets in a strip for grouped doses and multipacks.

What can you Pack in a Sachet?

Powders

Coffee, powdered drinks, supplements, protein, spices, food ingredients, detergent and cosmetic powders. Servo-controlled auger fillers handle free-flowing, non-free-flowing, dusty and volatile powders.

Granules

Sugar, salt, sweeteners, instant beverage granules, detergent granules and agricultural products. The dosing system is selected by particle size, product flow and required accuracy.

Liquids & pastes

Sauces, condiments, syrups, shampoos, gels, creams and liquid detergents. Magnetic or mass flowmeters dose each product, with heated hoppers and CIP preparation available.

Solids & pieces

Confectionery pieces, dry food inclusions and small solid products. Each product is assessed according to its size, shape and flow to define the right sachet solution.

Why Choose 4-Side Seal Sachet Packaging?

Four-side sealed sachets provide manufacturers with a flexible packaging format for measured portions, samples and single-use applications.

Controlled portions

Measured product quantities in an individual format for convenient distribution, use and consumption.

Flexible Format Range

Different sachet dimensions, opening features, edge finishes and grouped string configurations.

Strong branding surface

Wide front and back surfaces for branding, instructions, product information and coding.

Multilane Productivity

Several sachets produced at once, with lanes defined by sachet width, machine and target output.

Ideal for samples

A cost-efficient format for product sampling, trial sizes, travel kits and hospitality.

Downstream Integration

Connect sachet production with counting, grouping, cartoning and end-of-line automation.

Frequently Asked Questions About 4-Side Seal Sachet Machines

Mespack, a Duravant company, designs and manufactures multilane 4-side seal sachet packaging machines through two series: the ML Series for flexible production and the MLC Series, with continuous sealing, for very high output. Mespack also integrates its sachet machines with counting, grouping, cartoning and end-of-line equipment to supply complete turnkey packaging lines.

The choice depends mainly on the product type and the required output. Powders such as coffee use servo-controlled auger fillers, while sauces, shampoos and other liquids or pastes use magnetic or mass flowmeters. The ML Series suits projects that need flexibility across products and sachet sizes; the MLC Series suits high-output projects with compact sachets. Mespack defines the final configuration after product assessment.

The ML Series provides flexible, high-performance multilane sachet production using an intermittent sealing process. The MLC Series uses continuous sealing technology and is designed for applications requiring higher production output. The correct platform depends on sachet dimensions, product, dose and target speed.

A machine can be configured for a defined range of products when the corresponding dosing, cleaning, sealing and hygiene requirements are compatible. The feasibility of changing between powder and liquid products must be assessed during project definition.

Mespack can adapt ML and MLC machines to evaluate selected recyclable-ready packaging structures. Final performance depends on the product, sachet dimensions, material and sealing requirements. Industrial material validation is required.

Machine selection should consider product type, dose, sachet dimensions, required number of lanes, target output, packaging material, dosing technology, sealing requirements and downstream automation. Mespack evaluates these variables to recommend the appropriate ML or MLC model and project configuration.
