It depends on the dose, the product and how it is used. Single doses on the go suit stick packs; portions and samples suit sachets; retail packs, reclosable or spouted products and refills suit stand-up pouches; pre-dosed detergents and chemicals suit water-soluble pods. Mespack assesses product, format and output to recommend the right solution.
Yes. The Mespack Innovation Centre has state-of-the-art packaging lines available to test products, formats and recyclable materials, so manufacturers can validate dosing, sealing and output before investing. For water-soluble pods, Mespack also offers prototype trials on a Cloud Hydroforma machine.
VFFS (vertical form fill seal) machines form the pack around a vertical tube and are typical for stick packs and 4-side seal sachets, often in multilane configurations. HFFS (horizontal form fill seal) machines form, fill and seal the pack horizontally and suit stand-up pouches, zippers, spouts, caps and shaped pouches. Mespack manufactures both technologies.
Flexible packaging uses less material than rigid packaging, and recyclable-ready mono-material films and paper-based materials are increasingly available. Mespack machines can be configured for recyclable-ready and paper-based structures, validated through material testing, and water-soluble pods use PVOH film that dissolves in use. Mespack also offers lines to test new sustainable materials before industrial production.
Yes. Mespack delivers turnkey packaging lines, acting as a single partner from concept and engineering to installation and commissioning. Primary packaging machines are integrated with cartoners, case packers, palletising and end-of-line systems, with Mespack Athena for production data and Hello Mespack for 24/7 remote support.
