Materials
Develop, test and validate. We develop, test and validate new materials, closures and technologies.
Mespack works with leading material and technology partners to test recyclable films, papers, closures and sealing technology on real packaging machines. Together, we develop the future of flexible packaging.
We partner with industry leaders in sustainable packaging materials, closures and technology to accelerate innovation. Their solutions are already integrated and tested on Mespack machines, allowing us to jointly develop state-of-the-art packaging solutions that help our customers stay ahead.
Mono-material PE and PP, PCR content, paper-based structures, water-soluble PVOH and seaweed-based films, including structures not yet on the market.
Spout, cap and pouch designed together, so recyclable pouches keep their claim with the closure on and the line runs without stops.
Ultrasonic and digital heat sealing that make mono-material and paper easier to seal, plus ceramic dosing for accurate filling.
Control, data and inspection that keep the line at speed and in spec, pharma packaging know-how, and the option to offset your carbon footprint.
Mespack designs and manufactures packaging machinery. Our partners develop the materials, closures and sealing technologies that make sustainable packaging possible. Together, we test, validate and optimize complete packaging systems, ensuring every component works seamlessly as one. From joint trials with customers to the co-development of new materials, closures and packaging technologies, we collaborate to accelerate innovation and reduce implementation risks. The result: a smoother transition to new packaging solutions, with one integrated validation process instead of multiple separate tests.
Develop, test and validate. We develop, test and validate new materials, closures and technologies.
Joint customer trials. We run trials together with you and our partners to validate your project and reduce risk before you invest.
Co-create new machines. We co-develop new machines around new packaging solutions, to bring new answers to the market.
The Mespack Innovation Center (MIC) in Barcelona is where the Stellar Partners network pools its innovation: partner materials, Mespack machines and your product, in the same room. Every partner project is tested here. Tell us your product, the material you want to try and the partner you want to work with. We bring them to the table, run the trials with your product under NDA and give you a technical report your team can act on. That is how innovative packaging stops being a risk and becomes a plan.

Stellar Partners in materials and technology
At the trade shows where we exhibit, Mespack and its Stellar Partners turn collaboration into something you can take back to your plant. Not a gadget: a real head start for your next packaging project.

At the industry's biggest shows we also take the floor together. We share real-world results from joint testing, customer trials and co-development projects, giving you practical answers and proven solutions you can apply to your own packaging line.
What is changing in flexible packaging and what it means for your next launch.
New formats and structures co-developed with partners, before they reach the market.
How material, closure and machine settings combine to raise output and cut waste.
How to seal mono-material and paper-based structures at production speed.
Mespack, a packaging machine manufacturer based in Barcelona and part of Duravant, works with more than 15 material and technology partners, known as the Mespack Stellar Partners. They include Dow, Amcor, Mondi, ProAmpac, MonoSol, Notpla and Fuji Seal for materials and pouches; Menshen, Hoffer and Aptar for spouts and closures; Watttron, Herrmann Ultraschall and Neoceram for sealing and dosing technology; and Rockwell Automation, Emerson, Famartec, Spookfish and Globalfactor for automation, inspection and carbon footprint.
Partners develop new materials, closures and sealing systems, and Mespack integrates and tests them on its horizontal and vertical packaging machines. Brand owners get one validated solution (material, format and machine settings) instead of managing several suppliers separately.
Yes. The Mespack Innovation Center (MIC) runs trials with your own product and the partner material you choose, at production speed. It has carried out more than 600 packaging tests and validations since 2020. Each trial ends with a technical report on seal strength, seal integrity, output and waste.
The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) requires all packaging placed on the EU market to be recyclable by 2030. Mespack and its partners test mono-material PE and PP, PCR and paper-based structures on real machines, so brand owners can move to recyclable flexible packaging knowing it will run on their line.
In many cases, yes. Mono-material PE and PP and paper-based structures seal in a narrower window than conventional laminates, so the machine often needs adapting, not replacing. Mespack reviews your current line and, with partners such as Watttron and Herrmann Ultraschall for sealing technology and Menshen, Hoffer and Aptar for closures, defines the retrofit: sealing stations, film handling and settings. The change is validated at the Mespack Innovation Center before it reaches your plant.
We start from your target: recyclability, less material, recycled content or a lower carbon footprint. Our partners propose the material and the closure, and Mespack tests them with your product, so you can compare output, waste and seal quality with your current pack before deciding. With Globalfactor you can also offset the carbon footprint of the project.
